To get you started – here are some tips when hosting a skate outreach in your area:
Have a plan! Failing to plan is planning to fail. Don’t let your next outreach fall on deaf ears because of poor planning and execution.
Come up with a clear vision-This will help others to catch you vision and get on board (no pun intended).
Create a strategic time line. Plan thoroughly – Plan the work, and work the plan. Develop a detailed plan for the event.
DELEGATE! Distribute responsibilities to point people – DO NOT try to do it on your own! Coordinate a team to help delegate out the different responsibilities, and then faithfully execute the plan.
Pray Hard – The key to an effective outreach is prayer. Build a solid prayer team. The success or failure of an outreach is directly related to how much we pray. “Outreach is spiritual warfare and the battle is won on our knees.”
Dream BIG because we serve a BIGGER Lord and Saviour– The Lord tends to meet us at the level of our faith. Have faith-dream big-expect God to do great things!
Promote, promote, promote – People respond to events that are highly promoted and promoted well! Do everything you can to spread the word on the event, taking advantage of all the outlets and resources we have available today in this generation like social media, networking, video, street teams, school clubs, etc.
Follow Up – Is a huge part of the outreach! Be sure to have Bibles, follow up materials, decision cards/response cards, and mature volunteers who can meet with and counsel the people who respond to the message.
Plug In - Once you see the harvest, make sure that you plug these new believers into a place where they can continue to be feed and grow whether that is a local church, skatechurch, skate ministry, or youth group. Remember we are not here to count numbers and see hands raised but to create true disciples teaching them the Word!

Thank you for all you do.
