ABOUT THE SCHOOL:

Patmos: Reality Discipleship has one aim—-Transformation. We desire to see: transformation in the lives of students, transformation in the communities we come into contact with, transformation in each student’s town and local church, transformation in the lives of our staff, transformation in the world we live in. We know that this is an impossible task outside of the person and work of Jesus Christ, and we are committed to Him. We want our heart beat with Christ’s. One of our theme verses is 1 Corinthians 2:2 which proclaims, “For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.” What does it mean to know Christ and Him crucified in this ministry, in the lives of the staff and in the lives of the students? To know Christ and Him crucified is where it begins.

Knowing Christ crucified leads to knowing Christ and the power of His resurrection.

At Patmos we look at the lessons that Jesus wanted to teach His people and we seek to teach the same lessons to modern day disciples. Each student will spend 20 hours a week studying the Word of God. Then, they will have the opportunity to live out what they learn through a real life situation. Patmos tests the heart, soul, mind and strength.

ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP:

Participants have the option of heading back to Fort Lauderdale, Florida to intern at the local skatepark with Christian Skaters. They will spend Tuesday-Friday interning at the park and getting the inside scoop about how this 10+ old skate ministry reaches local skaters in South Florida. Saturday, interns will have a chance to pour into the local skaters at our free Saturday morning lessons. You will take Sunday off to rest & worship. Monday is a FREE DAY for you to enjoy South Florida. Interns must commit to a minimum length of 3 months.
