Why should I partner with Christian Skaters?
Christian Skaters is simply a network of skate ministries. 1 Corinthians 12:12 speaks about being a strong body of Christ. Although each of us may be in different areas of skate ministry, together we form one body with a heart to impact the skate culture with the gospel (aka “THE GOOD NEWS”) of Jesus Christ. We were formed to equip others, encourage others, pray for other, promote others, seek out others with a heart to reach skaters and support others in skate ministry. Together we can truly reach the world. There is power in numbers. We are an army each with different gifts. Together we can do so much more then going it alone. We are able to share experiences, information, resources, our God-given gifts, prayers, encouragement, and so much more. As a network, Christian Skaters is able to skate conferences around the world, discounts, free discipleship resources, ramp plans, consultations, amazing mission trips, and the list goes on and on. We are able to help bring down the cost of insurance, demos, ramps, merchandise, etc. As the network grows, so does the amount of things we can offer. Together we are able to partner to bring skate ministries around the world by sending and supporting missionaries, planting skate churches, sponsoring children through Compassion, training new leaders, and together making a true impact using skateboarding as our platform.
In 2003, a life was changed at a local skatepark Bible Study and it spurred a movement to impact lives around the globe by equipping and encouraging others with a heart to reach the skate and action sports culture. Today, Christian Skaters works with ministries in over 90 countries and, through it’s partners, is able to share the Gospel with ten of thousands each year and disciple skaters around the globe.
This year, Christian Skaters is excited about the launch of our army that will be fighting for this next generation. This new initiative is simply called “Team 316”. Our vision is to gather an army willing to make a difference with one small and simple act each week. Each team member will commit to giving just $3.16 a week for six months to our cause. This small gift, when combined with the body, will add up quickly to enable us to continue to plant skate ministries around the globe through Skate Missions, equip leaders by providing scholarships to the annual Skate Conference, and give boards to those faced with the challenge of poverty with Compassion International.
Our goal is to gain 200 member that are willing to give an amount less than a small coffee at Starbucks for a short period of only 6 months. With 200 members we will be able to raise $82.16 per team member for a total amount of about $16,000 enabling make a HUGE difference in 2011.

If you are a skate shop, ministry, park, skate company or skate church…We ask you to pray about partnering with us at only $10 a month. This small monthly fee allows us to continue to offer resources, mission trips and more. As a partner ministry, we also ask for you to prayerfully consider sponsoring a Compassion Child as a ministry. This is a great opportunity to teach your skaters to give back. For just over $1 a day ($38 per month), your ministry will be changing the life of a child. The skaters can help donate to support your Compassion child, write letters and prayer for them.
