Why Egypt?
Did you know that Christianity is a minority religion in Egypt? Egyptian Christians are known as Copts and account for about 4-5% of the population. Many in Egypt have NEVER heard the Gospel. And, despite the small proportion of Christians within Egypt, Egypt's Christian population is the largest in terms of absolute numbers in the greater region of the Middle East and North Africa.

This past month we were extremely blessed to host the 2011 Skate & Action Sports Conference. This event is a 4 day conference for leaders, athletes, and those with a heart to share the Gospel through Action Sports. Action Sports ministries from around the globe joined together to equip and encourage one another as we each step out in faith to impact a generation with the TRUTH of Jesus Christ. About six years ago Luis Palau Organization did huge festival in Egypt and sent pro skateboarder Jud Heald over to build skateboard ramps. Then a group of professional skaters came and performed for the people of Egypt.
Boarders for Christ (BFC) has been going to Egypt for the past three years, performing skateboard demonstrations at the festival, with about 10,000 people in attendance. Wes Luke, a BFC rider, continued to go back and fell in love with the people of Egypt.
